From Humble Beginings
A dream of visionary parents carried forward by their two daughters, Just Kerala is resto-bar and a part of Hotel Samraj. Run by a family of Mumbai based Malaylis, Just Kerala has been operational since the last three decades.
Back in the 90s, late Mr. Gabriel Joseph and Mrs. Rachel Joseph armed their daughters, Sherley Joseph Singh and Merliyn Joseph Karavlil, with MBA degrees and soon after they themselves trained them in the hotel business. The girls grew up enchanted by the rich delicacies from the southern kitchens. Kerala, which is known for its unique amalgamation of traditions and cultures that otherwise varies with geography and religion, has the same uniqueness attributed to its food styles. That’s exactly what defines Just Kerala and the Karavallil family ensures that their visitors are given a tasty treat of this beautiful cuisines.
Locally Sourced & Organic Food
We are constantly buying and helping local businesses and
organic farmers, with locally sourced produce.
The Kerala combo meals (Thalis) served on banana leaves, are totally worth it.
Found an amazingly authentic taste and experience here, with their unlimited and diverse options. Feeling wholly stuffed, and didn’t burn a hole in my pocket either.
Tried Kappa biryani, which was awesome and pretty much filling.
Almost took me an hour to finish the item during my lunch, something very different taste, and biryani with no rice in it. Ha would like to try more of their dishes.
Slightly on the spicier side but they do have all the popular Kerala dishes on the menu.
We hit this place on an onam evening and had wait our turn. The flavours were good. Worth trying this place for different cuisine.
Please do not go by the rating of this place! They serve great well prepared Kerela food.
I have been passing this place often and once decided to step in. All that was served tasted v good. The bar menu is reasonably priced too.
Simple and clean place for a good family lunch/dinner.
